Michel recently acquired this beautifully situated half-hectare parcel of 45- and 80-year-old Trousseau adjacent to the component vineyard of “La Vigne du Louis”, naming the wine after the parcel’s former owner Isabelle Dole. Offering greater structure and tension than Michel’s classic trio of Trousseau, its blacker-tinged fruit is wed to its tannins in a manner that beckons for a bit of cellaring patience, but its spirit and sense of unbridled energy remains recognizably Gahier.
