What a thrill it is to be able to offer a wine from such a revered vintage with our inaugural release from the estate. Part of the Côte des Bar’s magic is the way its wines tend to preserve their mineral strictness even through many years of aging, and this 2010 Extra Brut showcases that beautifully. Remarkably clean-lined and fresh, with notes of luscious red fruits and fresh-baked bread, it shows no signs of oxidation or fatigue and points toward many years of upside potential. Comprising 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay from 35-year-old vines, the 2010 was aged 60% in used oak barrels and 40% in stainless steel, undergoing a lengthy 11 ½-year stint on its lees before being disgorged in January 2023 with 3 grams per liter of dosage.
