The domaine recently acquired a 0.4-hectare parcel of Pinot Noir in Monthélie’s premier cru Sur la Velle whose entire eastern edge abuts Volnay’s western border. This cuvée offers a denser and more complex profile than the village-level Monthélie, with a more foregrounded sense of minerality and a graceful clench of structure reminiscent of the wines of its neighboring village.
